Plays / Skits

Plays and skits are forms of theatrical performance that can be used to entertain and educate audiences.

Miming

Miming is a form of performance art that can be traced back to ancient Greece and Rome. It is a silent art form that requires the performer to communicate through movement, gestures, and facial expressions.

Musicals

Musicals are a form of theatrical performance that combines songs, spoken dialogue, acting and dance. The story and emotional content of a musical – humor, pathos, love, anger – are communicated through words, music, movement and technical aspects of the entertainment as an integrated whole. Musicals as they were known from the 1930s to the 1950s began to decline in the late 1960s. By then, musicals had begun to diverge in many different directions: rock and roll, operatic styling, extravagant lighting and staging, social comment, nostalgia, pure spectacle.

There are different types of musicals such as film musicals which include songs into the story rather than making them contrast to the plot.

Poetry

Poetry is a form of literature that evokes a concentrated imaginative awareness of experience or a specific emotional response through language chosen and arranged for its meaning, sound, and rhythm.

Dance

Dance is the movement of the body in a rhythmic way, usually to music and within a given space, for the purpose of expressing an idea or emotion, releasing energy, or simply taking delight in the movement itself. Dancing is not only a fun activity but also has many health benefits such as improving balance, strength, endurance ability and cognitive ability.
